Enjoy Saturday's beautiful weather, big changes possible Sunday

80 percent chance of strong to severe storms Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. – "Take advantage of today because a strong cold front is making its way into central Florida, bringing strong storms with it," News 6 meteorologist Madeline Evans said.

On Saturday, Orlando will reach a high of 83 degrees with a lot of sunshine and no chance of rain. There will be a slight breeze with winds coming from the south southwest at 5-15 mph.

Saturday night will reach a low of 66 with patchy fog developing once again.

"The big story is Sunday," Evans said. "We start off the day with a slight chance of showers and mostly cloudy skies. We reach a high of 80 but have a 80 percent coverage of strong to severe storms."

The time for the highest risk of severe weather will be late afternoon, and continue late Sunday night. This could bring heavy widespread rain, damaging winds, frequent lightening and a chance of isolated tornadoes.

"Once we get through Sunday, we finally cool off into the high 60s and low 70s," Evans said.
