ORLANDO, Fla. – The warm weather Central Florida felt throughout this week is gone, and has been replaced by chilly, below-normal temperatures for the entire weekend and part of next week.
Friday night, under mostly clear skies, temperatures will drop rapidly and the low will range from 44 degrees in Orlando, to 39 degrees in Ocala, to 44 degrees in Melbourne.
Saturday will be sunny for at least half of the day. By Saturday night, there will be a 40 percent chance of rain in the forecast.
"Highs on Saturday will top out at 60 for Orlando to 59 in Daytona Beach and 62 in Palm Bay," News 6 meteorologist Danny Treanor said.
With clouds and rain in the forecast for Saturday night, temperatures will not drop to freezing, but will be in the low 40s for most areas.
Sunday will begin with a chance of rain and cloudy skies, but chances of rain will drop during the afternoon.
Temperatures will remain chilly for the Pro Bowl game on Sunday afternoon. Highs will only reach the low 60s.
"Monday through Wednesday, Central Florida will see lots of sunshine, but temperatures remain chilly and finally get back to a normal 71 by Wednesday," Treanor said.
