The advisory was in effect until 8 a.m. as temperatures dipped into the 30s and 40s across the region. At 6 a.m., Orlando saw its low temperature drop to 38 degrees.

The good news is that a warmup is on the way.

"As the dry air continues to build with an area of high pressure dominating the forecast, we will have lots of sunshine through the afternoon," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

The high temperature in Orlando on Tuesday will reach 72 degrees, which is the average high for this time of year.

The overnight low will be in the mid-40s.

"High temperatures will climb into the mid- and upper 70s from Wednesday through Monday," Bridges said.

Rain chances stay out of the picture altogether as high pressure dominates for the rest of the week.
