Gloomy forecast for Central Florida

Orlando to see high of 75 degrees

ORLANDO, Fla. – An unsettled weather pattern will start the week in Central Florida.

"We will see cloudy skies for the most part on Monday, with a few breaks in the clouds and a high of 75 degrees in Orlando," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "It's going to be gloomy."

The average high in Orlando on this date is 73.

"There will be a chance for a little bit of patchy fog to start and only a 10 percent coverage of a sprinkle or two on and off through the day as an area of low pressure is close by and the front is just to our north," Bridges said.

Rain chances are out of the forecast for Valentine's Day, when the Orlando area will warm to 78.

The chance of rain returns as the front moves in on Wednesday," he said. "There will be a 30 percent coverage and a high ahead of the front of 81."

Once the front passes, temperatures will be cooler. By Thursday, expect a high of 70 degrees. Friday's high will be in the low 70s.

Rain chances jump to 40 percent on Saturday.
