ORLANDO, Fla. – After a chilly start, the weather will be spectacular Friday in Central Florida.
"Temperatures are starting off in the 30s and 40s across the region," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "It was 36 degrees in Ocala, the same as Boise, Idaho."
The cooldown won't last long, however.
"Make sure you grab a jacket heading out, but most areas will quickly warm up with lots of sunshine and no rain chances."
High temperatures will be in the mid-70s in Orlando. The average high on this date is 73.
Changes come Saturday afternoon.
"A system in the Gulf of Mexico will move in after 1 o'clock in the afternoon, bringing in a chance for showers and thunderstorms that will linger into Saturday night," Bridges said. "Some storms could be strong, with the main threat being lightning and heavy downpours."
All eyes will be on the SpaceX rocket launch at 10:01 a.m. Saturday.
"The weather should be fine for the launch because the area of low pressure does not approach until the afternoon hours," Bridges said. "There could be an issue with a few clouds and wind."
Afternoon high temperatures ahead of Saturday's rain will reach 80.
Expect a high of 82 on Sunday, with a 20 percent coverage of rain.
The high will reach 80 on Monday, with no rain chances Monday or Tuesday.

Expect the next system to arrive out of the Gulf of Mexico again on Wednesday.
