Windy but beautiful day for Orlando City Lions' debut in new stadium

Cloud cover to begin as evening approaches

ORLANDO, Fla. – Sunday is expected to look just as nice as Saturday, with great weather for Orlando City soccer fans attending the Lions' first game in the new stadium.

"We will only be reaching a high of 75 degrees in Orlando, with no chance of rain," News 6 meteorologist Madeline Evans said. "And we will be really windy."

Wind will be coming from the east northeast at 20-25 mph, possibly gusting as high as 30 mph by the afternoon.

Central Florida will be mostly sunny throughout the day, but cloud cover will begin to build in as the early evening arrives.

Central Florida will reach a low of 58 degrees under a mostly cloudy sky Sunday night. It will still be breezy with the wind staying at 5-10 mph.

Monday will still look nice, but there will be a few changes. Temperatures will warm to a high of 79 degrees, with a 20 percent coverage of rain and a mix of clouds and sun.
