Beautiful Saturday ahead for Central Florida; Changes to come Sunday

Orlando to be mostly sunny, breezy Saturday

ORLANDO, Fla. – "We have a gorgeous day ahead of us. However, that nice weather is not here to stay," News 6 meteorologist Madeline Evans said.

Inland areas of Central Florida will reach the low 80s Saturday, and the coast will be cooler in the mid to high 70s.

Orlando will reach a high of 80 degrees and will be mostly sunny. Wind will be coming from the northeast at 5-15 mph, making a nice breeze to keep it a bit cooler. Rain won't be an issue Saturday.

"If you are on spring break and headed to the beach, today is your day to do it," Evans said. "We have a high of 74 in Daytona, and the water temp sitting at 69."

It's a nice day for the beach, but rough on the water. There is a small craft advisory in effect until Saturday night, and a moderate rip current risk because of those higher winds.

Saturday night will reach a low of 61 degrees, under a mostly cloudy sky and will stay breezy.

Central Florida will see a lot of changes Sunday. The high will only reach 78 degrees, and there will be a 60 percent coverage of rain by the late afternoon, all thanks to a cold front that will stall over the area. The rain will continue into Monday.
