Forecast: Low 70s in Orlando; warmer along the coast
Rain chances out of picture until Thursday
ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida will see a mild start the workweek.
"High pressure will move over the eastern seaboard following a weak front that cleared the region late Sunday," News 6 meteorologist Candace Campos said. "Breezy northeast winds are expected along the immediate coast and will weaken as the day progresses."
Highs on Monday will range from 72 to 74 degrees across the interior counties and about 74 to 77 along the coast.
"For folks on spring break, beach and boating conditions will keep improving this week," she said. "There is a moderate risk of rip currents along the East Coast beaches, with seas at a moderate chop."
Calm winds and clear skies will drop overnight lows into the upper 40s to low 50s.
"We will continue on a gradual warming trend through mid-week, with highs topping off in the lower 80s and staying mostly dry," Campos said. "There's a better chance that rain will return to our area by Thursday as the breeze picks up and ushers in a few scattered showers."
