Another hot day ahead for Central Florida

All inland counties to reach high of 90 degrees

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida has another hot day on tap Sunday.

All the inland counties will reach the 90s, and the coast will stay in the low 80s.

Orlando will reach a high of 90 degrees.

"There will be patchy cloud cover in the morning, but as we head into the afternoon we will be mostly sunny," News 6 meteorologist Madeline Evans said.

Wind will be coming from the east southeast at 5-10 mph, and the coast could see wind gusts as high as 20 mph.

"It's a good day for the beach," Evans said.

Daytona's high will be 82 degrees, and the water is sitting at a warm 71 degrees. The seas are only 2-3 feet and there is a moderate rip current risk.

Sunday night will reach a low of 68 degrees under a partly cloudy sky with breezy conditions.

"Next week, rain chances come back into the forecast, and by Friday, we could see a nice cool down into the mid-70s," Evans said.
