ORLANDO, Fla. – Saturday was nothing to brag about weather-wise. There is some overcast to the skies, above normal temperatures and a very strong east wind.
The area is looking for rain, but none is expected in the next five days and the fire danger remains very high.
Overnight, the winds will continue to be strong with some gusts up to 25 mph. Low temperatures under partly cloudy skies will range from 58 degrees in Ocala to 64 degrees in Orlando and 67 degrees in Palm Bay.
Expect more of the same for Easter Sunday.
Sunrise and temperatures:
- Coastal: 6:57 a.m., 62 degrees
- Interior: 6:59 a.m., 64 degrees
Afternoon temperatures will reach 83 degrees in Orlando, 79 degrees in Holly Hill and 80 degrees in Melbourne.
There will be a repeat for Monday and Tuesday with some slight chances for rain for Wednesday through Friday -- only 20 percent. It is not expected to be enough to solve the drought.
Enjoy your Easter baskets and bonnets.
