Sea breeze storms pop up in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. – The wet season has definitely arrived.

Central Florida will see high rain chances every afternoon for the next several months.

Sea breeze storms formed Monday afternoon from Pierson to Kissimmee.

Expect a 60 percent chance of rain Tuesday and Wednesday, and a 70 percent chance of rain on Thursday and Friday.

High temperatures on Monday will be close to the average on this date, which is 91 degrees.

Expect highs in the upper 80s  through the end of the week.

Embedded with some of the storms we will see widespread lightning as well a strong wind gusts.

Sunday’s high warmed up to 90 degrees.

Central Florida received .61 inches of rain Sunday which puts the year's deficit at 7.18 inches.
