Lake, Osceola counties could see heavy rain Thursday afternoon

The radar showed heavy showers over southern Lake County and some in northwestern Osceola County at 3:10 p.m. Thursday.

All of the showers and storms are moving west, northwest at about 10 to 15 mph.

Most of the heavy activity will be west of Orlando for the rest of the night. Later Thursday evening, the rain will slow and the temperature will drop to 75 degrees for a low.

Friday will bring a high of 94 degrees and a 40 percent chance of rain.

A normal daytime high this time of year is 92 degrees.

Central Florida is in the beginning of what are normally the hottest weeks of the year.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 94 degrees and a 40 percent chance of rain.

Sunday will looks the same.

In the tropics, all is quiet for now. There is no chance of any development in the next five days.
