Dry conditions expected Monday night, Tuesday in Central Florida

Hurricanes Lee, Maria still swirling in Atlantic

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida has a rather dry Monday evening on tap.

At 7 p.m., the Doppler radar was free of rain, as dry air had killed most of the showers that tried to form throughout the day.

A mostly clear sky and a low of 74 degrees was expected for the rest of the night.

Tuesday's weather pattern will be similar to Monday, with a high of 92 degrees and only a 10 percent chance of rain. Wednesday will also be dry and hot, with a high of 93 degrees.

A front will approach Central Florida by the end of the week, causing the chance for rain to jump to 40 percent. Highs will drop into the upper 80s.

Pinpointing the tropics:
Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Lee, which are both Category 1 storms, are still being monitored in the Atlantic.

Neither storm will threaten a landfall, but the outer bands of Maria will have impacts on North Carolina.

The waves along Central Florida's coast will remain rough until at least Wednesday.
