Tropical disturbance to bring rain, rough surf through weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – As we head into the late evening, look for partly cloudy conditions and a low of 74 degrees.
Tomorrow the high in Orlando will max out at 88 with rain chances getting to 40 percent late in the day.

Saturday the tropical rain from the low disturbance developing off the East Coast will continue.
The high will be 86, with a 50 percent chance of rain.

Sunday, look for more showers and a high of 85 degrees.

Along with the rain chances, building into the weekend it will become breezy to windy at times. Wind speeds are expected to be at least 10 to 15 mph over the weekend, but could build to 25 or 30 mph if the low deepens enough.

The constant onshore flow will lead to rough seas, high surf, a constant rip-current risk and hazardous boating conditions.

Tropical rains could linger through the weekend and into early next week, producing rainfall totals between 2 to 2 inches. The rain could also bring more flooding to areas along the St. Johns River.

This added rainfall to the river could raise the water level and upgrade many locations from a moderate flood stage to a major flood stage by the end of next week.
