The rain will be a combination of moisture from the approaching cold front and from tropical moisture from a developing system south of Cuba, News 6 chief meteorologist Tom Sorrells said.

That system could be named Tropical Storm Philippe late Friday night and is set to roll into western Cuba by Saturday afternoon.

The cold front moving into Central Florida will sweep the system out to the islands and protect Central Florida from the storm.

By Sunday, the rain will stop, the sky will clear, and the high will max out at 73 degrees.
