ORLANDO, Fla. – Get ready for more changes on the way, starting today!

The clouds will thicken up as the day goes on, and it will be a little warmer too.

We're expecting high temperatures in the low 80s.

Later this afternoon, have your rain gear ready.

Showers and a few thunderstorms will move in from the south.

There will be times of heavy rain that could produce up to an inch of water or more in isolated areas.

Rain coverage is at 50 percent, but the best chances will be over southern Central Florida (Brevard and Osceola), especially for the heavy rain.

Overnight, the rain continues as the cold front gets closer and clears early tomorrow morning.

Lows will dip to the mid-60s and only rebound to the low 70s tomorrow.

In the tropics, Potential Tropical Cyclone 18 could become Philippe as it gets closer to Cuba later today.

The cold front arrival will keep this system to the south of Central Florida. The only thing we get from it will be the moisture to help support the rain today.

It will be something for areas in the Florida Keys and south Florida to monitor.
