Veterans Day forecast: Average temps, few showers expected in Central Florida

Gusty winds to create hazardous beach conditions

ORLANDO, Fla. – Average temperatures and a few showers are expected in Central Florida on Veterans Day.

Clouds will thicken up Saturday as the day continues. A few coastal showers are possible in the morning and will move inland in the afternoon. There is a 40 percent coverage of rain, with spotty showers expected to move quickly.

High temperatures Saturday afternoon will stay near the average in Central Florida for this time of year -- mainly in the mid- to upper 70s.

East-to-northeast winds will pick up and become gusty, especially near the coast, creating hazardous waters through the weekend.

Small craft and high surf advisories will remain in place through the weekend, with highs along the coast in the mid-70s. 

Overnight Saturday will be mainly cloudy, with a few showers near the coast. Lows will dip down to the mid-60s.
