Drivers deal with fog in Central Florida on busy travel day

Rain likely on Thanksgiving, Black Friday in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. – Fog will be an issue for drivers in Central Florida on Wednesday morning, one of the busiest travel days of the year.

"Watch out for fog," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "It will be a big factor through 9 a.m. Leave earlier than usual if you’re traveling out of town and be aware there will be low-lying areas with even more foggy in spots that you may not be used to driving through."

Rain chances will be slightly lower on Wednesday.

"Expect a 30 percent coverage of off-and-on showers, with clouds holding tight," Bridges said.

High temperatures will warm into the upper 70s. The average high in Orlando on this date is 77.

Rain chances increase through Black Friday.

For Thanksgiving, expect an 80 percent coverage of showers and a few embedded thunderstorms.

Rain chances remain at 70 percent on Friday.

Afternoon high temperatures will be in the upper 70s on Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day.

Highs will be in the mid-70s on Friday.

"For the weekend, we will be dry, with highs in the low 70s and morning lows in the 50s," Bridges said.
