Gloomy weather kicks off Black Friday in Central Florida

Orlando to see high temperature in low 70s

ORLANDO, Fla. – Black Friday is off to a gloomy start in Central Florida.

"Light to moderate rain showers will be off and on for the first half of the day," News 6 meteorologist Samara Cokinos said. "A weak front will continue to move south, taking a lot of the rain with it."

The rain will cover about 40 percent of the region. Conditions will improve in the afternoon, although a few showers could linger.

Highs will reach the low 70s in the Orlando area.

Along the coast, a small craft advisory is in effect for Flagler and Volusia counties through early Saturday.

Overnight, temperatures will drop into the 50s.

Saturday and Sunday will see highs in the mid-70s.
