ORLANDO, Fla. – December in Central Florida will start with high temperatures in the 80s.
"We are pinpointing more dry air across Central Florida as high pressure dominates and settles into Central Florida," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "This will translate into lots of sunshine through the day, but we could start with some patchy fog."
Expect a high of 82 in Orlando on Friday, with a 10 percent chance for a coastal shower.
The average high on this date is 76 degrees.
Highs will stay near 80 through the weekend, with very slim rain chances.
The next cooldown in Central Florida isn't expected until late next week.
"If you’re heading to the tree lighting in downtown Orlando at Lake Eola on Friday, rain will not be a factor and temperatures will be near 70 degrees by 7 o’clock," Bridges said. "The entire News 6 morning team will be there."
The 2017 hurricane season ended Thursday.
