Much-needed rain on its way Monday

Overnight lows near 70 across area

ORLANDO, Fla. – Rainfall was very scattered on Sunday but everyone got some breezy conditions. A few areas received over 1 inch of rain.

Overnight, conditions will stay pretty much the same -- windy and cloudy, with a 60 percent chance for rain.

Lows will range from 65 degrees in Ocala to 68 in Orlando and 70 in Palm Bay.

The chance of rain ramps up on Monday as a new cool front heads our way and interacts with the current humid, warm air in Central Florida.

Rain chances jump to 70 percent, and temperatures will reach 80 degrees in Daytona Beach, 82 in Cocoa and 84 in Orlando.

There will be more rain on Tuesday, but it will begin to back down by Tuesday night, allowing more sunshine and warmer temperatures for Wednesday.

There will be a short dry period on Wednesday and Thursday, with rain chances coming back on the weekend.
