ORLANDO, Fla. – Showers and thunderstorms dominated the late afternoon and evening hours Saturday in Central Florida.
Some areas were still receiving rain as late as 9 p.m., but showers ended before midnight. Overnight lows will drop to the mid-70s.
Sunday morning begins with a lot of sunshine, but it quickly begins to cloud up by noon time and thunderstorms will be rolling in during the afternoon. Highs on Sunday will be around 93 degrees, but slightly cooler at the beach. There is a 40 percent chance of rain Sunday.
Things remain active for the upcoming week with many days seeing a 50 percent chance of rain, but that drops to 40 percent by Wednesday.
"Keep your umbrellas handy," News 6 meteorologist Danny Treanor said.
In the tropics, there are no major disturbances at this time.
Labor Day is a week from Monday.
