Heavy rain soaks parts of Central Florida

Highs to reach low 80s in Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando will again see highs soar into the 80s, but rain and cooler temperatures are on the way.

The high will reach 82 in Orlando on Tuesday. The average high on this date is 73.

"A front will bring a chance for a few thunderstorms, but mainly just off-and-on rain, with a 70 percent coverage into the afternoon," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Most of the rain will come after 3 p.m."

Behind the front, temperatures will cool a bit.

Wedenesay's high will be 70, with a 20 percent chance of rain.

Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s in the Orlando area, with cooler temperatures in northern zones.

Thursday will warm to 76 under mostly sunny skies.

"A new boundary will increase rain chances by Friday to 50 percent," Bridges said. "Highs will reach the upper 70s."

Temperatures will not change drastically through the weekend, with highs in the upper 70s Saturday and the mid-70s Sunday. Rain chances are 20 percent Saturday and 10 percent Sunday.
