First day of April brings showers

Enjoy the sun before rain takes over

ORLANDO, Fla. – A sunny and warm spring day is quickly becoming the prelude to rain and maybe a little thunder.

Monday has rain in the picture and that is not an April Fools' joke. The chance of rain increases as the day moves into the afternoon, reaching 70-80 percent, with the possibility of some thunderstorms. Temperatures will be repressed to the 60s and 70s.

Showers could be heavy at times and will continue through Tuesday. Rainfall amounts could add up to 1/4- to 1/2-inch.
