Rain enters forecast for Sunday morning

Rainy, breezy conditions will dominate area Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Mainly cloudy skies can be expected Saturday night, but most of the rain will stay away until early Sunday morning.

Lows will dip near 72 degrees with a nice east to northeast breeze around 5 to 10 mph.

The rain comes knocking on roof tops near the coast between 3 and 5 a.m. Sunday

The showers will be light to moderate as they pass by headed toward the west.

Rain chances will be around 40% for Sunday. In between showers, expect partly sunny skies.

Highs will be in the mid-80s along the coast to the upper 80s inland.

It will be rather breezy again Sunday, keeping it from feeling stifling hot.

For boaters, conditions on the water will continue to deteriorate into Sunday.

A small craft advisory has been issued overnight through Monday afternoon.

Winds out of the east will range between 15 to 20 knots. Expect seas to build from 6 to 7 feet up to 8 to 9 feet by Sunday night.

Better rain chances will begin at the start of the workweek and increase as a cold front gets closer to central Florida. It's expected to pass by midweek with no major cool down behind it.

TROPICS:

When it comes to the tropics, as of Saturday morning, there is no tropical development expected within the next five days throughout the Atlantic, Caribbean or Gulf of Mexico.
