Warm, dry day on tap in Central Florida

Rain chances increase in Orlando area by the weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – Warm and dry weather conditions prevail for another day across Central Florida, with skies ranging from mostly to partly cloudy.

A large ridge of high pressure is now anchored over the western Atlantic, producing easterly winds that will make it breezy at times Tuesday afternoon, especially along the coast.

The onshore flow will keep highs in the upper 70s to low 80s along the coast and low to mid-80s west of I-95.

Overnight lows will range from the mid-60s inland to the upper 60s along the coast.

Beach Forecast: Tons of sunshine along the coast, with a 10-15 mph breeze out of the east. Seas will be about 2-4 feet, with a moderate risk of rip currents.

The dry and stable weather pattern will continue through Thursday as our winds gradually veer more southerly. The shift will help warm highs to near 90 degrees by the end of the week, with a slight chance of a passing shower.

By the weekend, models are showing a front approaching the region late Friday, with some discrepancies on whether the front will clear the area by the weekend. Depending on if it clears or not will decide how much rain we could see this weekend.

For now, we will keep an isolate to scattered chance of rain through the weekend.
