Central Florida to see comfortable week

Highs in upper 70s for most of week

ORLANDO, Fla. – A comfortable week is on tap in Central Florida.

Monday will be breezy in the Orlando area, with highs in the low 80s. The average high on this date is 80.

"Winds will kick up to 20-25 mph out of the north-northeast," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "A new front moves in Tuesday, bringing minimal rain chances at 20 percent and highs in the upper 70s."

High temperatures will remain in the upper 70s through the end of the week. There's little chance of rain after Tuesday.

Morning lows will be in the 60s.

Tracking the tropics

Showers and thunderstorms continue to show some signs of organization in association with a low-pressure system about 700 miles southwest of the Azores.

"Environmental conditions are expected to be conducted for some additional development, and the system could become subtropical during the next few days while It moves slowly northeast," Bridges said.

The system has a 50 percent chance of developing over the next five days, but it will not impact the United States.
