Cloudy skies to bring slightly cooler temps Sunday evening

Afternoon showers expected throughout next week

ORLANDO, Fla. – Clouds and rain kept Central Florida temperatures down Sunday, which kept the severe weather down.

"There's another balmy evening ahead, with cloudy skies and high humidity, as well as low temperatures that will be dropping to 76 in Orlando to 74 in Ocala and 73 in Palm Bay," News 6 weather anchor Danny Treanor said.

There will be a 30 percent chance of rain Sunday evening.

Slightly drier air is expected to move over the area Monday, which will drop the chance of rain to 40 percent.

"Highs on Monday will top out at 92 in Melbourne, 91 in Daytona Beach and 94 in Orlando," Treanor said.

Showers are expected every afternoon for the upcoming week.

No storms are expected in the tropics within the next five days.
