ORLANDO, Fla. – Spend some time outside and open the windows. There is free air conditioning to be had.
Florida's version of fall weather has finally arrived -- and it's only just over a month late.
"The cold front has passed, and the changes are here," News 6 meteorologist Samara Cokinos said.
Clouds are lingering, but no major rain is expected. These clouds will decrease overnight as cool air moves in and pushes the moisture out. Low temperatures Saturday night will range from 51 degrees in Ocala, 56 degrees in Orlando and 57 degrees in Palm Bay.
"It's great weather for fall festivals, fairs and an evening stroll," News 6 meteorologist Danny Treanor said.
It will be sunny and comfortable Sunday after a touch of chill in the morning. Highs will be in the mid- to upper 70s.
The week ahead is quiet, with temperatures in the 80s in the day and 60s at night. By Thursday, another cold front brings a chance of rain, but Halloween looks good.
Tropical update
In the tropics, Oscar has been declared. This storm will continue to grow and move to the west. By Monday, it could be a hurricane, and by Tuesday, it is expected to make a big turn to the east away from the United States.
