Highs to reach low 80s in Central Florida

Rain chances jump to 70 percent Tuesday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Dense fog blanketed portions of Central Florida on Monday morning, but sunshine will dominate the day.

Orlando will be very warm, with a high of 83 degrees. The average high on this date is 72.

The overnight low will be in the upper 60s.

"A new front moves in Tuesday afternoon. There will be a chance for a few thunderstorms, with rain coverage at 70 percent," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "There’s no big risk of severe weather, but we can’t rule out a little bit of thunder and lightning."

Tuesday's high will be 82. The overnight low will be 60.

Temperatures will drop after the front passes, with Wednesday's high reaching 72. Rain chances drop to 20 percent.

Lows, however, will dip into the upper 40s in Orlando, with cooler temperatures for northern zones.

Thursday's high will be 75, with a 20 percent chance of rain. The low will be near 60.

Rain chances jump to 50 percent Friday.

Weekend highs will be near 70, with lows near 50.
