Highs soar near 90 in Orlando; 40s a week away?

Rain chances up and down over next several days

ORLANDO, Fla. – Thursday started with light showers scattered across Central Florida, and the chance of rain will be 30 percent throughout the day.

Orlando will see a high in the upper 80s, well above the average of 80 for this time of year.

Overnight lows will be near 70.

Friday's high will be 89, with a 20 percent chance of rain. 

Saturday will be nicer, with a high of 82 and a 10 percent chance of rain.

"We will be watching a boundary sort of fluctuate across Central Florida," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "That front will move north and then south and then north again, bringing up and down rain chances starting on Sunday."

Sunday's high dips to 79, with a 20 percent chance of rain.

Rain chances jump to 50 percent on Monday, with a high of 83.

By the middle of next week, Orlando will see a high of 70. 

Morning lows could be in the 40s for portions of Central Florida.
