'Baby Duke' sign sold, money to go to hurricane relief

Family paid $275 after sign gained attention following storm

OVIEDO, Fla. – A Central Florida family is getting results for Hurricane Irma victims after creating a humorous sign when they lost electricity.

Tony Galarza made the sign last Thursday after a push from his wife.

The sign read, "Power still out. Wife pregnant. Fix today and will name baby Duke!"

The display drew attention from drivers and his neighbors.

Duke Energy restored his power Friday afternoon.

After getting electricity, the Galarza family decided to sell the sign and donate the money to hurricane relief efforts.

News 6 learned Craig Coopersmith and his family paid $275 for the sign.

It's unclear if the baby will, indeed, be named Duke.
