Orlando area wakes up to comfortable weather

Another cooldown could hit Central Florida by the weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – Most Central Floridians woke up Monday to temperatures in the 50s and 60s as cooler weather reached the area.

Residents in portions of Brevard County, however, saw temperatures in the mid-70s.

High temperatures will reach the low 80s, with a very slim chance of rain.

The average high in Orlando on this date is 83 degrees. The average low in Orlando is 65.

Highs will be near the mid-80s through Friday, with rain chances gradually increasing to 60 percent by Friday.

"We are actually close to where we should be in many spots after being well above the average for so long," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

Another cooldown, with highs in the 70s, could arrive by the weekend.

"There's nothing to pinpoint in the tropics, and it looks to stay that way for the next five days," Bridges said.
