Rain chances return Tuesday, fire danger continues

We are pinpointing more of that sea breeze action into the afternoon with a 40 percent coverage of showers and storms firing up as we heat up a humid unstable atmosphere.

Temperatures warming to 96 degrees Tuesday will feel more like triple-digit temperatures.

The average afternoon high in Orlando is 90 degrees.The record of 100 degrees was set back in 1945.

Monday's high in Orlando was 93.

Rain chances every day this week are between 40 and 50 percent.

The much needed wet season has begun as sea breeze action will move humid air in. 

A 2,000-acre wildfire burning along the Orange and Brevard County line brought in heavy smoke overnight.

The fire danger index for Brevard and Orange counties remains very high Tuesday.

More than 111,000 acres have burned since January, according to the Florida Forest Service.

Hurricane season begins Thursday and so far, nothing is brewing in the Atlantic Ocean.
