Rain forecast to return to Central Florida Sunday

Cold front to arrive Tuesday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Changes in the weather pattern could be seen and felt in the Central Florida air Saturday as clouds and humidity increased.

"Rain will be returning to the forecast and it might be for 2-3 days, but after that, get ready for a true fall change in the temperature," News 6 weather anchor Danny Treanor said.

Clouds moved in Saturday afternoon, keeping temperatures up and making starwatching difficult.

Temperatures Saturday night could reach 76 degrees in Orlando and Melbourne and drop to 68 degrees in Ocala.

"Sunday looks rainy during mid-morning to mid-afternoon," Treanor said.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain Sunday and temperatures will be in the high 80s.

The chance of rain will drop to 40 percent Monday, but the decrease will be short-lived as a cold front arrives Tuesday and pushes the chance of rain back up to 60 percent. There could also be some thunderstorms.

Much cooler air is expected to arrive Wednesday and will keep temperatures in the 70s during the day and the 40s and 50s at night.
