ORLANDO, Fla. – Several areas in Central Florida's radar show rain on tap Monday night.
An area of showers and thunderstorms developed on the west coast and will roll east later in the night. The showers are expected to hit the east coast sea breeze and will produce areas of heavier rain.
"I would not expect any severe weather, but some areas will receive lightning and wind gusts up to 35 mph," News 6 chief meteorologist Tom Sorrells said.
There will be a 50 percent chance of showers throughout the night and temperatures will reach a low of 71 degrees.

Expect rain through the first half of the day Tuesday before the weather pattern changes.
"The rain will stop, the sky will clear and the dry, cool air will arrive," Sorrells said. "This cold front is the first big cold front of the season."
The high Tuesday will be in the 80s and the high Wednesday will be 75 degrees. Overnight lows will drop into the 50s by Thursday morning.

"That will be the first time we have been that cool in 200 days," Sorrells said.
Thursday will be another dry, cool day with a high of 72 degrees before temperatures return to the 80s by Saturday.
Another batch of cooler air will arrive Sunday and linger into Monday.
