ORLANDO, Fla. – There is an increased chance of rain across Central Florida on Friday and Saturday.
Expect pop-up showers and storms Friday, with a 60 percent coverage area.

As drier air comes in Sunday, expect only a 20 percent coverage of rain.
The high will on Friday, the first day of fall, will be in the upper 80s. The average high temperature on this date is 89.
Tracking the tropics
All eyes are still on Hurricane Maria, which is moving north of Hispaniola at 7 mph with maximum sustained winds of 125 mph, making it a Category 3 storm. Maria will stay off the coast of Florida by nearly 500 miles.
Maria will bring rip currents to Central Florida during the weekend and most of next week.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Jose is bringing rip currents two areas like the Hamptons and Long Island, as well as New England.
