Showers slow across Central Florida but return Friday

Thursday night low to drop to mid-70s

Heavy thunderstorms rumbled across Central Florida on Thursday evening.

For a while, there was a significant weather advisory for Orange, Seminole and part of Osceola counties. That advisory expired at 8 p.m.

Heading into the late night, most of the weather action is ending. The low Thursday night in Orlando will drop to the mid-70s.

Friday looks to be an active weather day as well.

The high in the afternoon will hit 90 with a 50 percent chance of showers.

Most of the storms will be driven by sea breezes.

The heaviest action will take place between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Some of the storms will linger into the night, with the bulk of the showers washing back to the west
after sunset.

Rain chances will drop for the weekend, with a high Saturday of 92 and a 30 percent chance of rain.

Sunday will have a high of 92 and rain chances of only 20 percent.
