When will Central Florida see some rain?

Dry conditions, warm temperatures continue

ORLANDO, Fla. – After great weather for  Easter weekend Monday has been another hot and dry day in Central Florida.

Orlando International Airport reported a high of 87 degrees.

Tuesday night the low will dip to 65.

Wednesday will see another high of 87 degrees with still no rain chance.

Later in the week, Central Florida will see a 20 percent chance of a coastal shower on Wednesday and Thursday. Some of those showers look strong enough to make it across the state, News 6 chief meteorologist Tom Sorrells said.

The daytime high on Friday and Saturday will be 88 degrees.

Rain chances make a comeback on Sunday to 30 percent and by Monday reach 40 percent.

Since Jan. 1 only a little more than three inches of rain has fallen at Orlando International Airport. Since March 1, only .1 inches.

For 2017, Central Florida is 7.12 inches below normal rainfall totals for this time.

Fire bans are still in effect for Seminole, Orange, Brevard, Lake and Osceola Counties.

"You really shouldn't be burning anything, anywhere in Central Florida," Sorrells said.
