Polk County man wins $1M prize playing Florida Lottery scratch-off game (Florida Lottery)

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Polk County man won a $1 million prize playing the Florida Lottery’s “SEVEN FIGURES” scratch-off game.

Carlos Cole, Sr., 53, of Winter Haven, claimed his winnings Friday at the Florida Lottery’s headquarters in Tallahassee as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $695,000, according to a news release.

He purchased the winning ticket from a Publix located at 6031 Cypress Gardens Boulevard, which will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling it, the release states.

SEVEN FIGURES is a $5 game featuring a top prize of $1 million and offering more than $79.5 million in total cash prizes, according to Florida Lottery.
