Central Fla. gas prices continue to drop

Regular unleaded down nearly 40 cents in one month

Gasoline -- Gas prices are going down this fall after a sky-high summer but are still nearly $1 more per gallon than this time last year.

ORLANDO – Gas prices continue to fall in Central Florida.

According to AAA's latest Daily Fuel Gauge Report, the average price of regular unleaded fell nearly 7 cents over the past week from $3.339 to $3.273 a gallon. Over the past month the average price has fallen 37.5 cents a gallon.

Central Florida drivers are are also paying about 13 cents less than the same time last year.

However, GasBuddy.com's Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says, "the decreases are beginning to slow down."

Wholesale gasoline prices rose sharply this past Friday and that could send price back up.
