NEW YORK – The biggest stars of the Broadway are joining forces to support the victims and those injured in the mass shooting at Pulse Sunday morning.
Broadway Records President Van Dean, musical director/media personality Seth Rudetsky and producer James Wesley lead the charge for the charitable initiative, Broadway for Orlando.

A new recording of Burt Bacharach's "What the World Needs Now is Love," lyrics by Hal David, will be produced in conjunction with Playbill, will be available for download at BroadwayRecords.com on June 20 and on iTunes shortly thereafter.
Rudetsky, Wesley and Dean will be executive producers of the benefit recording with Michael J. Moritz Jr. and Michael Croiter as producers. Rudestsky will conduct the 25-piece orchestra.
All proceeds from the sales of the song will benefit the LGBT Center of Central Florida.
Theater actors along with orchestra and the services of a recording studio are donating their time and talent to the recording.
"The Broadway community was so terribly shaken and devastated by the horrific tragedy in Orlando, Rudetsky said. "Everyone wanted to do something as quickly as possible that would truly make a difference."
The theater community have banded together as they always do to show that they can end this cycle of violence and intolerance.
