'Hamilton' coming to Orlando's Dr. Phillips Center

Show will be part of 2018-19 Broadway season

ORLANDO, Fla. – "Hamilton," the Broadway smash hit based on Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, will be coming to Orlando during the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts' 2018-2019 season.

Exact dates for that show have not yet been released, but DPAC did provide details on what shows patrons can expect during the 2017-2018 season: 

"Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King & I": September 12 – 17, 2017
"On Your Feet!": October 17 – 22, 2017
"Love Never Dies: The Phantom Returns": November 21 – 26, 2017
"The Book of Mormon" (Season option): December 12 – 17, 2017
"School of Rock": December 26 – 31, 2017
"Disney’s The Lion King" (Season option): February 14 – March 11, 2018
"Waitress": March 20 – 25, 2018
"Something Rotten!": April 24 – 29, 2018
"Rent": June 5 – 10, 2018

Officials said the best way for theater-goers to secure tickets to "Hamilton" is to purchase a season subscription for 2017-18, because subscribers who renew their subscription will get early access to 2018-19 tickets.

Tickets for individual shows and specifics for the 2018-19 season will be released at a later date.
