Nickelodeon Suites Resort to undergo rebranding, become Holiday Inn

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando will be a little less orange and guests looking to get slimed may have to search for another Nickelodeon experience later this year.

Starting on April 18, the Nickelodeon Suites Resort  on Continental Gateway in Orlando will be a Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites -- Waterpark after a $30 million renovation of the resort, according to the Nick Hotel website.

The resort says it is rebranding with a renovated waterpark, laser maze, 4D theater lineup and live entertainment -- but no Nickelodeon experiences after April 17. 

"The resort will continue to be a destination hotel dedicated to imagination, play and exploration for kids and parents alike," according to the website, adding that the new hotel will "continue to deliver a fun and energetic experience."

The Lagoon Pool and Cafe will be rebuilt through Feb. 29. The Oasis Pool and Slides will be open between Jan. 4 and March 1 with poolside entertainment of shows, slimings and more, the posting stated.

The Cafe in the Mall will also undergo a makeover.
