ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando city leaders voted to approve a temporary ban on marijuana dispensaries in the city, ahead of Florida's vote on medical marijuana in November.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the vote came after three potential sellers of medicinal marijuana expressed interest in opening businesses where zoning would allow them.

If the moratorium passes a second vote, it would last through Dec. 31.
In the meantime, city officials said they plan to study the potential impact of marijuana businesses.
