2 critically wounded in stabbing near UCF

3rd person taken to hospital with cuts to his hand

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two men were critically wounded early Tuesday in a stabbing near the University of Central Florida, deputies said.

The double-stabbing happened at The Edge Apartments at 11613 Jefferson Commons Circle.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, as deputies were heading to the complex for a burglary, they were informed that a man had been stabbed.

Deputies said they found a 20-year-old man in front of the complex suffering from multiple stab wounds.  A 19-year-old man was then discovered in front of an apartment with multiple stab wounds, deputies said. They were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Three other people were inside the apartment, which was linked to the burglary call, deputies said.  One of them had lacerations on his hand, deputies said. He was taken to Florida Hospital East for treatment.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.

None of the people involved attend UCF, deputies said.
