One person, whose condition is unknown at this time, needed to be extricated and airlifted to the hospital, officials said.

Fire Rescue officials said the other person was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

When Florida Highway Patrol troopers took over the investigation, they found this accident to be the cause of a hit and run.

Troopers said the driver, later identified as 18-year-old Tray'von Taylor was driving a stolen car when he lost control and drove into the path of an oncoming car.

After the accident, Taylor left the scene of the crime, but had his cellphone with him, troopers said.

Troopers said Taylor's mother went to the scene of the crash and called him and told him to come back to the accident.

Troopers said Taylor was arrested, but taken to the hospital to be evaluated for his injuries.

The intersection was closed Friday night after the crash.
