3 Kissimmee officers investigated for false testimony

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Three Kissimmee police officers are being investigated after officials say they gave false testimony in a drug case.

Kissimmee police spokeswoman Stacie Miller said Monday the three officers, identified as Tiffany Hall, Felix Echevarria and Taylor McFee, were relieved of duty pending the outcome of criminal and internal investigations.

Prosecutors have dropped charges against the defendant, saying the testimony given by the officers was inconsistent with surveillance video from a motel.

The video shows all three officers walking into the motel room. In the charging affidavit, Hall said she was alone.

News 6 spoke to the suspect in the case. He said that the officers were aggressive inside the motel room. The man said he remembered seeing a surveillance camera near his room, so he asked his attorney to get a copy of the video.

The State Attorney's Office credits the suspect's defense attorney for discovering the surveillance video from the Tropicana Motel on Nov. 24, 2015.

Personnel records show Echevarria has been suspended from the department in the past.

The State Attorney's Office said criminal charges are possible against the officers.

Investigators also said they've sent a letter to all the attorneys working cases involving these officers. Closed cases are also being reviewed.
