Not all drivers were scared away by sticker shock. We witnessed several people fill up their tanks on Sunday night.

If those drivers had just looked down the street, they could have found prices as low as $1.68 for a gallon of unleaded gas.

We tried to call the folks at the station to explain their pricing and the phone just rang busy.

According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of unleaded gas is $1.73. The Florida average is $1.79.
