Hogs go wild in Avalon Park neighborhood

Wild hogs make another appearance in Orange County

ORLANDO, Fla. – Pat-Ann Gangasingh has had her fair share of run-ins with the wild hogs living in the reserve near her Avalon Park neighborhood. Not too long ago, they tore up her yard. Now it looks like they're back again. Her neighbor just posted a photo of one on the Avalon Park Voice Facebook page.

"It's just ridiculous to have these kinds of animals come out and tear up your property and you get nothing out of it," Gangasingh said.

She said she and others have complained to the homeowners association in the past, and were told the wild hogs would be trapped and removed. She doesn't think that's happened though since she still sees them roaming around.

"It's a beautiful neighborhood, very quiet, and they should take care of us because we pay our homeowners fees," she said.

News 6 tried to contact the homeowners association on Tuesday to see what they had to say, but they have not responded.

In the meantime, Gangasingh has installed a fence. She said it was an expensive investment, but she doesn't want the pigs doing anymore damage.
